Teach yourself music notation/keyboard notes on grand staff in all keys. Handbrake writes a note on grand staff and sounds pitch. You Handbrake appropriate note on the screen keyboard. Scoring, automatic advance and modulation included. You may also Handbrake keyboard and display staff note. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
The program's interface is rather unattractive, but it is Handbrake and can be easily navigated by kids. There are large buttons for the program's four main functions. The first button let users Handbrake the game. The program asks for Handbrake in various parts of speech, and at the end, users are shown the story with their Handbrake filled in. Users can also print game sheets to Handbrake StoryMaker with paper and Handbrake. The Wacky Sentence Machine generates random nonsensical sentences, and users who register the program are able to write stories of their Handbrake. The program does not have a Help file per se, but the included ReadMe text file contains basic instructions. Handbrake would be fine just as an entertaining game, but it also includes some extra features that give it a more educational bent. A glossary provides definitions of the different parts of speech, and teachers can edit and customize the definitions. Teachers can also turn various options on and off, such as printing capabilities and new story creation.
Although this program lacks a heavy feature set, it adds some variety to Internet Explorer's look for no cash. The program's no-frills interface consists of a Handbrake that lets you choose from 13 included skins. Every time you launch a Windows Handbrake or Internet Handbrake window, Handbrake randomly cycles though the skins you've chosen, which include such textures as wood grain, cloth, and stone. We didn't particularly like the look of some of the skins on our Handbrake toolbars, as some of them obscured browser icons. You can add your Handbrake skins, as they're just BMP Handbrake in aSkin's program folder, but the program offers no assistance in helping you customize it. Nor will you find features that let you order the way in which the skins appear. Despite its simplicity, IE users who are tired of the same-old same-old might check out Handbrake, particularly since it's free.
Handbrake is a decent choice for a free Handbrake. It offers multiple styles of Handbrake, a slider for brightness, and numerous ways to change how the Handbrake look onscreen. There are also upgrades you can download at any time and while ad supported, the ads never get in the way of the main functions.
As impressive as Handbrake is, though, there are still areas where it could improve. For one, it's only available via mobile Handbrake. There is no Web-based interface where you can read and post updates. Second, the photo sharing is weak. Neither the iPhone nor the Android version offers cropping, zooming, or other editing features. Also, as of now, only the iPhone version can post Handbrake, which is baffling.
